PHWM Soccer (Recreation Program):

2024 Spring outdoor Soccer Program

PHWM Soccer Spring registration is closed. No additional registrations will be taken.

PHWM Soccer 2024 Spring outdoor Registration Fees:

Registration Fee per Child $70,
Family fee (soccer only, registering parent’s child or step-child ONLY)
2 children $130, 3 – 5 children $165
Each order will include a $3.00 service fee to the registration software company.

Volunteers coaches are needed in all age groups, register to volunteer when registering your child.
Please volunteer to coach when registering your child!!! The age group coordinators need enough volunteer coaches to set team rosters, have practice and game schedules set so teams can start on time. A PHWM Soccer program goal is NOT to send emails to parents stating the need for coaches or practice and game start will be delayed.
Volunteer head coaches will be reimbursed 50% of their child’s registration fee after their background check is completed or has a valid date and when their team is playing games.

Spring outdoor soccer schedules conflict with other outdoor sports; schedules are not coordinated between multiple sports. Please consider the schedules before registering a child for multiple sports. A child should fully participate on a team, and not miss practice or games to play another sport. Coaches are volunteers they shouldn’t have to plan around children missing their practices or games to play another sport or play on another soccer team in a different program.

REQUESTS: We will do our best to accommodate U5/U6-2018/19 and U8-2016/17 team and player placement requests, entered in the special comments registration question, based on a first-registered/first-to-be-placed basis, however our ultimate aim is to balance teams by age and skill level, this could mean a child would be on a different team and have a different coach than a previous soccer season. U8-2016/17 is the last age group that will consider team and player assignment requests before balancing teams. Requests for age groups U10 through U14 are not guaranteed as these teams are selected by the coaches and balanced the best as possible by skill

Registration for an age group may close early when the maximum number children for that age group are registered. Participation is limited because of less field resources for soccer in the spring.

PHWM Soccer Spring Recreation program information:

Separate leagues for Boys and Girls, age groups are 2 years based on the birth year.
U12 and below age group players will receive a ball. Uniforms will be provided. for all age groups.
Practices will start in Mid/late-April for age groups U8-2016/2017 through U14-2010/2011, age groups may start different weeks in April. One weeknight practice per team.
Referees will be provided for age group U10-2014/2015 and above. Coaches will referee U8 games.
Age group league play and the U5-2019, u6-2018 clinics will begin the week of 4/15.

2019 & 2018 boys and girls clinics:

The 2019 and 2018 children are in separate clinics or the age groups but may be combined, girls and boys will be separate.
Clinic sessions will be scheduled - Saturday afternoon 1:00 – 2:15 or 2:30 – 3:45
Location: TBD
No weeknight practices.

U8 - 2016/2017:

Games will be Friday evening and Saturday late afternoon/evening
Coaches referee the games
Teams will be provided with 1 weekly practice evening:
Boys Tues or Thurs and Girls Mon or Wed (days could change based on a coach's availability)

U10 - 2014/2015:

Games will be Saturday late afternoon/evenings
Sunday afternoon games are possible due to limited field availability
Games/practice location is TBD
Teams will be provided 1 weekly practice evening
Boys Tues or Thurs and Girls Mon or Wed (days could change based on a coach's availability)

U12 - 2012/2013:

Games will be on Saturday late afternoon or evenings
Sunday afternoon games are possible due to limited field availablity
Teams will be provided with 1 weekly practice evenings:
Boys Tues or Thurs and Girls Mon or Wed (days could change based on a coach's availability)

U14 - 2010/2011:

Games will be on Saturday late afternoon or evenings
Sunday afternoon games are possible due to limited field availability

2006-2009 HS-Boys and 2005-2008 HS-Girls:

Depends on registration numbers. Play could be small-sided or pick up games.

Field locations will be announced/posted when PHWM Soccer receives permits for fields from Baltimore County Recreation and Parks.

Age Group Determination: Based on Participant’s birth year

U5 Clinic: 2019 Boys, 2019 Girls born in 2019	U6 Clinic:2018 Boys, 2018 Girls born in 2018
U8 – 2016/17 Boys, U8 – 2016/17 Girls born in 2016 and 2017	U10 – 2014/15 Boys U10 – 2014/15 Girls born in 2014 and 2015
U12 – 2012/13 Boys U12 – 2012/13 Girls born in 2012 and 2013	U14 – 2010/11 Boys U14 – 2010/11 Girls born in 2010 and 2011 Children born between 9/1/2009 and 12/31/2009 and still in middle school may register with the U14-2010/11 age groups instead of HS age group
