Pickleball is a court sport played on a [20′ x 44′] indoor or outdoor court, with a net. Paddles are used to hit a plastic whiffle ball. Pickle ball is a little like tennis, badminton & ping pong. “The game is easy to learn for new players. Pickleball’s multi-generational co-ed appeal, is a fun way to get healthy aerobic exercise, improve mobility, sharpen reflex time, & improve hand-eye coordination.


*ADULT BEGINNERS PICKLEBALL – Sept. 6, Friday 6-9 pm. New & nearly new players receive hands-on, on-court coaching of the fundamental strokes and basic shots, rules and scoring Supervised and assessed group practice game play. Players receive individual coaching as needed. Each player receives a copy of Coach Joe’s Pickleball Junkies Advanced Play Study Guide & a Certificate of Completion of Beginners Instruction Class. Limit 6 Players, $30 per player.

*PART I ~ EXPERIENCED PLAYER SKILLS IMPROVEMENT CLINIC – Sept 13, Friday 6-9 pm. First of two part clinic for experienced players. Part I: Player performance weaknesses of common picklebill shots are identified and corrected. Fine tuning of players’ serve, return of serve, strategic dinking, drop shot, lob shots, and ball placement accuracy will be demonstrated, using the linear forehand and backhand stroke. Players receive supervised repetitive ball machine drilling & 30 minutes of assessed practice game performance. Each player receives a copy of Coach Joe’s “Pickleball Junkies Advanced Play Study Guide. & a Certificate of Completion of a Certified Pickleball Beginners Class. Limit 6 Players, $30 per player.

*PART II ADVADVANCED SOFT GAME STRATEGY CLINIC – Sept 20, 6 -9 pm. Part II Clinic is an advanced strategy clinic for controlling the game from the NVZ line, getting to the NVZ line and controlling the game with soft shot strategy to displace opponents and execute put-away point winning shot. Players will learn how to reset the point using combinations of cross court dinking and fast volleys. Coaching is a combination of ball machine repetitive practice & game play. Each player receives a copy of Coach Joe’s “Pickleball Junkies Advanced Play Study Guide. Limit 6 Players, $30 per player for one clinic. Players attending Part I & Part II Clinics receive a reduced rate of $35 per player for both clinics. Registration open email bhdpal@verizon.net for details & questions.

Racquet sports court shoes, comfortable court attire, and a composite personal paddle & 3 indoor pickle balls are needed for clinic play and home practice. Heavy wood beginner paddles are available but not recommended.
