Fall Outdoor Soccer Update: June 25, 2008. Limited openings remain for the Fall Outdoor Program. Use the registration link below for online registration. For additional information on registration click on the following link for the registration flyer. For online registration click here. We are currently seeking volunteers to coach and coordinate age groups for the upcoming season. Travel Soccer tryouts will be held in June. Players interested in trying out for Travel Team must register during open registration and either sign up in person or via the online registration answering the 'Travel Notification' question affirmatively.

Spring Soccer: PHWM Soccer will once again offer Spring Outdoor Leagues. Click on this link to view registration dates, and age groups. Play will begin on or about April tenth and continue through the middle of June. Play will be in the evenings, Thursday – Sunday. Tentative schedules will have Clinic age groups playing late Saturday afternoon, U8’s on Thursday night, U10’s on Friday night, U12’s on Saturday night and U14 & High School COED on Sunday night. Soccer News for 2007-2008 Season: The White Marsh Recreation Council Soccer program and the Perry Hall Recreation Council Soccer program are entering their third season of operation in a combined effort as the Perrry Hall-White Marsh Soccer Association, a united organization with the goal of providing a coordinated, well-organized soccer experience for the residents of the community.

Overview

The Perry Hall-White Marsh Soccer Associationoffers Fall Outdoor, Winter Indoor, Spring Outdoor, Travel and Club Teams as well as a variety of specialized programs and camps throughout the year. Most programs are designed for ages four through High School. For current program registrations check the “Updates” section above or visit the Recreation Council Calendar. We are a volunteer organization. We need League Coordinators, Coaches, Assistants, Concession workers, Fundraisers and Referees. Help us to provide the most enjoyable experience possible for your children.

Outdoor Soccer begins in early August and is played through early November. Registration occurs in late May and early June. There are separate leagues for boys and girls. Leagues are designated as Clinic (4-5), Under 8 (6-7), Under 10 (8-9), Under 12 (10-11), Under 14 (12-13) and High School. Age groups are determined by the participant's age as of August 1 of the current year. All participants will receive a uniform. Participants in Clinic through U10 will receive a ball. Players U8 and above without a current skill rating may be required to participate in a skills assessment session. Dates and times will be posted in the “Updates” section above. League play begins the week after Labor Day.

The Travel Soccer program consists of single age year Boys and Girls teams from ages 7 - 19. The program is for the more skilled player seeking a higher level of competition. Teams are further designated as "Rec. Travel" or "Club" based on ability and commitment level of the players and parents. Club teams play and train year round. Tryout requests are accepted during the Fall Outdoor Soccer Registration period. Tryouts for these teams are held during the June /July period, dates vary by team. Emphasis is placed on age appropriate individual player development and team play. Costs vary by team and are dependent on the level and amount play.

Indoor Soccer is offered from December through March. Registration for this program is conducted in October and early November. Boys and Girls leagues are available for Clinic (4-5), Under 8 (6-7), Under 10 (8-9), Under 12 (10-11), and Under 14 (12-13). A High School Age COED league is available for individuals as well as groups who wish to register as a team. The age determination date is August 1 of the current year. The Clinic age groups plays at Chapel Hill Elementary, all others play at the Freestate Sports Arena.

Spring Outdoor begins in mid April and is played through mid June. Registration for this program is conducted in early March. Leagues are designated as Clinic (4-5), Under 8 (6-7), Under 10 (8-9), Under 12 (10-11), Under 14 (12-13) and High School. Some leagues may be COED and age groups may be modified to suit the number of registrants. Groups are determined by the participant's age as of August 1 of the previous year. Players U8 and above without a current skill rating may be required to participate in a skills assessment session. Dates and times will be posted in the “Updates” section above.

Soccer Clinics and Camps are periodically sponsored throughout the year. Upcoming events will be posted in the “Updates” section above and on the Calendar.

Registration

Registration takes place at various sites. Notification flyers are provided to the local schools for distribution and posted on this web-site. Fees vary by program, family discounts are generally available. Check the registration flyer for dates and locations convenient to you. Proof of age may be required. Medical information may also be required. Online registration is available and recommended. Credit cards are required for online registration. They are not accepted at the walk-in registrations. Location

Fall and Spring Outdoor Leagues play at Nottingham Park, Honeygo Regional Park, Cowenton Park, Loreley Community Center, Chapel Hill Elementary School, Perry Hall Elementary School, Perry Hall Middle School, Perry Hall Park, Snyder Lane Park, and Gunpowder Elementary School. Indoor Leagues play at Freestate Sports Arena, Clinic plays at Chapel Hill Elementary.

Staff

The Chairperson(s) administers the program and is/are assisted by a Boys Program Coordinator and a Girls Program Coordinator. The Chairperson(s) and Coordinators serve as the liaison with the Recreation Council, Baltimore County Office of Parks and Recreation, coaches, volunteers and participants. Volunteers are needed!!!
